    IMPORTANT The coaxial illuminator enables coaxial reflected light observation when it is mounted at the bottom of an SZ2 series microscope. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS This unit can be used in combination with only the SZ2-LGB or LG-PS2 light guide illuminator. For safety, use only one of the lamp bulbs designated in the following table. For details, refer to the “...

  • Page 6 Getting Ready 1. The coaxial illuminator is a precision instrument. Handle it with care and avoid subjecting it to sudden or severe impact. 2. Do not use the coaxial illuminator where it is subjected to direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity, dust or vibrations. 3.
  • Page 7 # To clean the half mirror inside the coaxial illuminator, simply remove dust and dirt with a blower, etc. If the half mirror is still dirty after blowing, please contact Olympus. 2. Do not attempt to use organic solvents to clean the parts other than the glass components. To clean them, use a lint-free, soft cloth slightly moistened with a diluted neutral detergent.
