Functions and Characteristics of the MD911 Module

The MODBUS module MD911 is a device to connect the controller main unit of the
Unified Controller nv series to MODBUS.
The Unified Controller nv Series can communicate with other devices on the
MODBUS system via the MD 911.
■ Characteristics of the MD911 module
The Unified Controller nv Series MD911 allows you to configure transmission
paths using RS232C and RS485.
The MD911 module has the following characteristics.
・MODBUS protocol
The Modbus protocol is a communication protocol developed by Modicon Inc.
(AEG Schneider Automation International S.A.S.) for PLCs.
This module can be used to exchange data with external devices with the Modbus
interface. The MD911 supports the Modbus RTU protocol.
・Operation mode
The MD911 supports the master mode and slave mode of the Modbus protocol.
The operation mode can be set with the engineering tool.
・Supported functions
The MD911 supports the coil state read, input relay state read, retention register
content read, input register content read, single coil state change, single retention
register write, multiple coil state change, and multiple retention register write
functions. The functions can be set with the engineering tool.
