Basic Functions

IMPORTANT!
Before you operate the system, complete
the preparation procedures.

Switching the system on

Press 2 STANDBY-ON.
The LCD display lights up. The system will
switch to the last selected source.
Press VCD/CD, TUNER, TAPE or AUX on
the remote control (TUNER/BAND, DISC,
or TAPE/AUX on the system.)
The system will switch to the selected source.
To switch the system to standby mode
Press 2 STANDBY-ON.
The LCD display lights off. The set clock time
will be displayed. If the clock time is not set,
-- -- : -- -- is displayed (See Clock setting).

Adjusting volume and sound

Adjust the VOL control (or press
VOL –/+ on the remote) to decrease or
increase volume of the system.
Display briefly shows VOL and a number
from 00 to 40 to indicate the volume level.

Press DSC repeatedly to select the desired
sound effect: ROCK/JAZZ/POP/CLASSIC.
Display shows selected sound option.

Press DBB to switch bass enhancement on or
off.
If activated, DBB is displayed.
To switch off the volume temporarily
Press MUTE on the remote control.
Playback will continue without sound and
is displayed.
To restore the volume, press MUTE again or
increase the volume level.
