Design Features

1. Power/Protect LED – Power LED illuminates blue when the unit is turned on. Protect LED illuminates red if
a short circuit or to low of an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. The amplifier will
automatically shut down if this occurs.
2. RCA Input Jacks –The industry standard RCA jacks provide an easy connection for signal level input. They
are nickel-plated to resist the signal degradation caused by corrosion.
3. RCA Pass-Thru Jacks – This Pass-Thru provides a convenient source for daisy-chaining an additional
amplifier without running an extra set of RCA cables from the front of the vehicle to the rear amplifier location.
4. Gain Control – The input gain control is preset to match the output of most source units. We recommend not
to increase the sensitivity too much.
5. Infrasonic Filter – A variable 15-40Hz 12dB/octave filter designed to prevent frequencies below the audio
range from being applied to the subwoofer from the amplifier.Consequently improving subwoofer
performance and power handling, particularly in vented enclosures.
6. Variable Crossover (Low Pass Only) – Is a built-in 12dB/octave Butterworth filter with a crossover point
variable from 50Hz to 250Hz. We recommend using the filter below 100 Hz for normal Subwoofer use.
7. Bass-EQ – This control is a narrow band adjustment variable from 0dB to +18dB @ 45Hz. It is designed in a
way that frequency shift with boost cannot occur.
8. Remote Bass Level Control – When connected, the "Gain Control" is linked and allows you to remotely
control the output level of the amplifier from the dash or center console.
9. Speaker Terminals – The heavy duty, nickel-plated set screw wire connectors (+ and -) will accommodate 8
AWG. Two Positive (+) and Negative (–) terminals are provided for installation flexibility. Both terminals are
wired in parallel internally. Only one Positive (+) and one Negative (–) terminal is required for a speaker
connection.
10. PowerTerminals –
accommodate 4 AWG .
11. REM Terminal – The nickel-plated set screw wire connector and will accommodate 12 AWG.This terminal
is used to remotely turn-on and turn-off the amplifier. Turn-on when +12V DC is applied. 12. HI / LOW Button -
Choose High to connect the speakerwire coming from radio directly to the amplifier.
Choose Low for normal use via Cinch cable coming from NF out of the radio. Adaptercable is incuded.
The power and ground are nickel-plated set screw wire connectors and will
BASS EQ.
