Valet Operation

The system can be placed in Valet Mode to disable the remote starting capabilities. This is necessary when the vehicle
is being serviced.
To place the vehicle i n t o Valet Mode:
1.
Turn the Ignition Key to the

Within 3 seconds, press and hold the Valet Button for approx. 1 second. The L.E.D. will turn on and remain lit.
To get the vehicle o u t o f Valet Mode:
1.
Turn the Ignition Key to the
2.
Within 3 seconds, press and hold the Valet Switch for 1 second. The L.E.D. will go out.
If you try to remote-start the vehicle while it is in Valet Mode, the Parking Lights will flash twice. See the Diagnostics
table at the end of this manual.

Multi-speed Tach Learning

On some Ignition systems the Tach signal can be too high or too low, causing failed starts at certain temperatures. The
AS-2214 TW system is designed to read a wide range of Tach signals. No manual adjustments are necessary.
However, each time a new unit is installed, a new Tach learning procedure must be carried out.
The Tach learning procedure is as follows:
1.
Make sure that the Ignition is
Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds.
Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights should come on.
With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2.
Press and hold the Brake Pedal; press the
The Parking Lights will flash 4 times.
3.
Release the Brake and start the vehicle; allow it to reach regular Engine idle speed.
The Parking Lights will go out when the Tach signal is detected.
4.
Press and hold the Brake Pedal until the Parking Lights flash 5 times – the Tach signal has been learnt.
To end the Tach learning procedure at any time: close the Hood.
Note
If the Horn is programmed, it will honk 1, 2 or 3 times
depending on the Tach mode learnt.

Programming Options

The AS-2214 TW System is equipped with 3 custom Programming Modes to allow the installer to custom-fit the system
in accordance with the requirements of each vehicle.
To get into a Programming Mode you must do the following:
1.
Make sure that the Ignition is
Hold the Hood Pin-switch down for 4 seconds.
Release the Pin-switch.
The Parking Lights should come on.
With Parking Lights on, immediately push and release the Pin-switch again.
The Parking Lights will stay on for up to 20 seconds.
2.
Press and hold the Brake Pedal, then press:
the LOCK button to enter Mode 1
the UNLOCK button to enter Mode 2
the TRUNK button to enter Mode 3
The Parking Lights will flash once, twice or three times to confirm entry into a particular Mode.
If Horn Confirmation is programmed, the Horn will also chirp 1, 2 or 3 times to indicate the Mode.
3.
Release the Brake Pedal.
