NOTE!
• Clean the new espresso maker with warm water before using it for the first time.
• Follow the instructions without adding coffee the first time you use the espresso maker in order to
clean the entire machine properly. This step should be carried out regularly to ensure all parts work
optimally.
1.
Fill the water tank with clean water. Adjust the volume of water depending on how much coffee to
make. Use an espresso cup as a measure. NOTE! The water level must never exceed the pressure
release valve (Figure 1).
2.
Fill the filter basket with finely ground coffee and carefully pack the coffee with a spoon or your
fingers. Place the filter basket in the water tank. The amount of coffee used determines the
strength of the coffee. Adjust to suit your own taste (Figure 2).
3.
Turn the filter holder upside down, insert the filter and then the rubber gasket (Figure 3). Screw
the filter holder to the tank until all parts are properly screwed together. Screw the pour spout
onto the filter holder.
4.
Place the espresso cup under the pour spout on the espresso maker (Figure 4). Place the espresso
maker on a suitable heat source, for instance a gas/spirit cooker or a cooker hob. Make sure the
espresso maker is stable and level. Prevent flames from exceeding the base of the tank when using
a gas or spirit cooker as the flames can damage the espresso maker.
5.
After heating for a few minutes, the coffee starts to flow from the pour spout down into the cup.
6.
A full tank gives about 2½ to 3 cups of coffee before the water is used up. The cup under the pour
spout may have to be replaced with another one to avoid spilling the coffee.
