TROUBLESHOOTING AIDS
Mini-MAPs provide you with three levels of information.
These levels are:
1.
A description of the circuit and how it can be
tested.
2.
A figure showing the circuit line names and pin
numbers.
3.
A detailed guide that uses the yes and no path of
questions that you can follow to isolate the
failures.
This procedure is used to give you as much information
as possible about the failing circuit.
It is possible for the symptoms to change or disappear
while you are probing an intermittent problem.
All the diagrams use the same format.
Conditions After Power On
Describes the normal condition of the circuit after power
on.
Service Aids
Lists suggestions as to how the circuit may be tested
and additional information about the circuit.
Tools
Suggests which tools to use.
