1 COMBINER INPUTS connectors (BNC type)
When combining the image on this unit with the image
from another DME-3000/7000, input special purpose
serial digital signals for combiner operation. The
combined image is output from the DIGITAL
OUTPUTS connectors and ANALOG OUTPUTS
connectors. Use the VIDEO/Y, KEY/Z and Z
connectors for component format, and the VIDEO/Y,
EXT/C, KEY/Z and Z connectors for composite
format. When using the component format, serial
digital signals input through the EXT/C connector can
be used as background or borders. The BKDM-3050
option board must be installed in this unit in order to
use these connectors.
2 COMBINER OUTPUTS connectors (BNC type)
When combining the image on this unit with the image
from another DME-3000/7000, output special purpose
serial digital video signals for combiner operation.
Use the VIDEO/Y, KEY/Z and Z connectors for
component format, and the VIDEO/Y, EXT/C, KEY/Z
and Z connectors for composite format. The BKDM-
3050 option board must be installed in this unit in
order to use these connectors.
3 ANALOG INPUTS connectors (BNC type)
Input analog video signals and key signals. If the phase
difference between these signals and the reference
video signals input through the REF INPUT connector
is within –0.3 H to +1.8 H, automatic phase adjustment
is carried out. However, in order to enable automatic
phase adjustment, it is necessary to choose one of the
four possible values under TBC CENTER (TBC
window center position) in the IN/OUT menu of the
BKDM-3010 Control Panel. The BKDM-3022 or
BKDM-3023 option board must be installed in this
unit in order to use these connectors.
When the BKDM-7020 is installed, you can use the
VIDEO/Y/EXT connector in group A as an input
connector for serial digital external video signals.
4 DIGITAL OUTPUTS connectors (BNC type)
Output serial digital video signals and key signals.
The same signals are output from two connectors, 1
and 2. In order to use these connectors, one of the
BKDM-3020, BKDM-3021, BKDM-3022, or BKDM-
3023 option boards must be installed in this unit.
5 ANALOG OUTPUTS connectors (BNC type)
Output analog video signals and key signals. The
same signals are output from two connectors, 1 and 2.
The BKDM-3022 or BKDM-3023 option board must
be installed in this unit in order to use these
connectors.
6 REF (reference video) INPUT connectors (BNC
type)
Input analog reference video signals. The two
connectors form a loop-through connection. Signals
input into either connector can be output unchanged
from the other. When not using the loop-through
connection, always terminate the unused connector
with the supplied 75 Ω terminator.
7 SPARE connectors (BNC type)
These connectors are reserved for future use.
8 DIGITAL INPUTS connectors (BNC type)
Input serial digital video signals and key signals. If the
phase difference between these signals and the
reference video signals input through the REF INPUT
connector is within –0.3 H to +1.8 H, automatic phase
adjustment is carried out. However, in order to enable
automatic phase adjustment, it is necessary to choose
one of the four possible values under TBC CENTER
(TBC window center position) in the IN/OUT menu of
the BKDM-3010 Control Panel. One of the BKDM-
3020, BKDM-3021, BKDM-3022, or BKDM-3023
option boards must be installed in this unit in order to
use these connectors.
9 CONTROL PANEL connectors (D-sub 9-pin, D-
sub 25-pin)
Connect the optional BKDM-3010 Control Panel to
one of the D-sub 25-pin connectors. The four
connectors form a loop-through connection.
Connecting the unused D-sub 25-pin connector to
another DME-3000/7000 makes it possible to control
both DME-3000 units (or up to four DME-7000 units)
from the same control panel. These connectors
comply with the RS-422A standard. They supply +12
V power and reference video signals to the BKDM-
3010.
