Setting Your Preferences

INPUT/OUTPUT

Set up how you want to use your camera's HDMI output, and find the
right setting for your external microphone.

HDMI Output

Connect your GoPro to an HDTV using the GoPro Media Mod (HERO8
Black) and an HDMI cable (both sold separately), and then choose
Monitor to show your camera's live view with camera information, Media
to playback the media on your SD card, or Live to show your camera's live
view without camera information.

Audio Input

Connect your camera to the GoPro Media Mod (HERO8 Black)
or Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter (both sold separately). Then select the type
of microphone you'll be using.
