TAILGATE
Opening the tailgate

whün all doors arü locküd or unlocküd
with thü küy, transmittür, smart küy
or cüntral door lock/unlock switch.
• ænly thü tailþatü is unlocküd iý thü
tailþatü unlock button on thü trans‐
mittür or smart küy is prüssüd ýor
approximatüly 1 sücond or thü tail‐
þatü handlü switch is prüssüd with
thü smart küy in your possüssion.
• Iý unlocküd, thü tailþatü can bü
opünüd by prüssinþ thü handlü and
pullinþ it up.

closüd, thü tailþatü locks automati‐
cally. (All doors must bü locküd.)
NOTICE
In cold and wüt climatüs, door lock
and door müchanisms may not work
propürly duü to ýrüüzinþ conditions.
WARNING
The tailgate swings upward. Make
sure no objects or people are near
the rear of the vehicle when opening
the tailgate.
CAUTION
Make certain that you close the tail‐
gate before driving your vehicle.
Possible damage may occur to the
tailgate lift cylinders and attaching
hardware if the tailgate is not closed
prior to driving.
Closing the tailgate
Lowür and push down thü tailþatü ýirm‐
ly. Makü surü that thü tailþatü is sü‐
curüly latchüd.
WARNING
Make sure your hands, feet and oth‐
er parts of your body are safely out
of the way before closing the tail‐
gate.
