OPERATION 9.3 Driving the Tractor and Implement Start off driving at a slow speed and gradually increase your speed while maintaining complete control of the tractor and unit. Moving slowly at first will also prevent the tractor from rearing up and loss of steering control. The tractor should never be operated at speeds that cannot be safely handled or which will prevent the operator from stopping quickly during an emergency.
  • Page 42: General Operating Instructions

OPERATION 10.1 General Operating Instructions Do not attempt to disc wet or mucky soil and all areas should be well drained and capable of being walked on without having the soil stick to your shoes.. Discing action will commence as soon as the unit touches the ground and tractor begins to move forward. Your travel speed forward will be determined by soil conditions and available tractor horsepower.
  • Page 43: Harrow Adjustments

OPERATION 11. HARROW ADJUSTMENTS Always turn tractor key off and remove key before performing any maintenance or adjustments on disc harrow. Properly block and secure disc harrow in lift position prior to changing angles of gangs or during maintenance. Keep feet fro under disc blades during adjustments or maintenance. 11.1 Disc Angling Note: The more angle you have on the disc, the more aggressive the cut will be, and the more horsepower will be required to pull your unit.
  • Page 44: Lateral Gang Adjustment
