Installing your Modem Software
This section provides instructions for installing the IBM ISA V.34 HPC
Data/FAX modem software. Please install the software for the operating system
you use.
Windows 3.1 Installation
The IBM ISA V.34 HPC Data/FAX modem software is designed to operate under
Windows 3.1x enhanced mode. After installing the software, you can obtain
additional information from the AT CMD and README files supplied in the
IBM HPC program group.
The installation procedures are:
1. If off, power on your computer, start Windows, if not already started.
2. Insert the IBM ISA HPC modem Windows 3.1 Installation diskette into
diskette drive A:
3. From the Program Manager, select the File pull down menu located at top
left of Program Manager.
4. Select Run...
5. Type A:\Setup and select OK.
Note: upper or lower case will work
Follow the instructions for the setup process.
Note: Set your data and fax software to hardware flow control
If you want to test your modem, refer to "Testing Your Modem" section of this
Installation Guide.
