Installing the Modules

* Note: All Avaya media modules are hot swappable. You do not
need to shut down the switch when adding modules.
To install modules in the chassis:
1. Carefully remove the module from its box, leaving the module in
its anti-static wrapping.
2. Take appropriate antistatic precautions and carefully remove the
module from the antistatic wrap (refer to Chapter 1,
"Installation" in the Avaya P550/P580/P880/P882 Multiservice
Switch Installation Guide for detailed information on proper
antistatic precautions).
3. Open the Ejector Tabs until the stops make contact with the face
plate (Figure 1).

4. Insert the module into the chassis (Figure 1).
5. Press on the center of the module as you push it into the chassis.
The ejectors snap into place.
6. Push the ejectors into the closed position to complete seating
the module (Figure 2).
