You can store phone numbers and their corre-
sponding names in the SIM card's memory (in-
dicated by "A" in the upper left corner of the
display) or the phone's memory (indicated by
"B"). You may switch between the memories in
Menu 6 1.
The number of standard memory locations
available on SIM cards varies from one card to
another. The same applies to the length of
names and phone numbers which can be stored
in the memory locations.
Your phone provides 50 standard ('normal')
memory locations numbered from 1 to 50. Each
of the locations can hold a name of up to 16
characters and a phone number of up to 30 dig-
its.
Storing a Phone Number with a

Key in the phone number.

Press the
to select alpha mode.

Select the key labelled with the letter you
want. Press it once for the first letter, twice
for the second letter and so on. If you want a
lower case character, press and hold a key
until the character appears in lower case. All
further letters will appear in lower case until
a key is pressed and held once again.

Select the other letters in the same way.
When entering the same letter (or a letter on
the same key) twice, you do not need to wait
for the cursor to appear. Simply press the
and select the next letter.
