8-Series PVS Install Instructions Applies to: 8-Series PVS This document contains the procedure for installing the 8-Series PVS onto Star Trac and Stairmaster 8-Series cardio equipment. Tools Required: • Phillips Screwdriver • 5mm Allen Key Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the front of the console to the console rear shroud.

Use a 5mm allen key to secure the PVS bracket to the console mast using four (4) M8 x 20mm screws. Connect black/white power cable from mast to red/black cable from the PVS bracket then connect the male 3.5mm audio jack from the mast to the female 3.5mm audio jack extension from the PVS bracket.

Reinstall Back PVS Shroud and align the PVS grommet. To install the controller, remove the front cover to the main console, then remove the unused panel for install. Screw in the PVS controller. Connect PVS controller to back of PVS using the RJ45 cable (2) (looks like a telephone wire) that connects to the left RJ45 jack in the PVS.

Reinstall the console face. Headphone Jack - Units with Hotbars For Star Trac treads 8-TRx, 8-TR, 8-TC, and the Stairmaster 8-G Stepmill after installing the PVS, you must install the headphone jack in the hotbar. The following steps must be completed after primary installation of the PVS and controller.

110-3447 Insert the headphone jack and use the Phillips screw to fasten in place. Remove the 2 Phillips screws on the USB panel and remove the panel from the console. Disconnect the USB cable from the USB board. Connect the USB cable and HDMI cable to the new panel.

Headphone Jack - Units without Hotbars For units without hot bars including the 8G, 8-UB, 8-RB, the following steps must be completed after primary installation of the PVS and controller. The headphone jack goes directly into the console with a new bar replacing the existing USB/HDMI bar. Remove the original panel by removing the 2 screws from the original USB panel.

To Panel Connect the straight side of the same cable to the cable from the screen. From Screen Carefully close the console and refer to the owner’s manual for programming and operation instructions. Page 7...
