Use the heat gun/blow drier to heat the
adhesive securing the touch screen to the
display assembly's frame. This will soften the
connection between the two parts.
•
Insert the plastic opening tool in the seam that
surrounds the display assembly. Work your way
around the phone to separate the touch screen
from the display assembly's frame.
•
If necessary, use a razor blade to assist you with
the initial separation. The thin blade is easier to
fit in the seam to start separation and allow
access for the pry tool.

Work your way around the entire perimeter of
the touch screen until it is disconnected from the
display assembly's frame. When separating the
two pieces, be careful not to damage the LCD
screen that is located underneath the touch
screen.
