4. Operation

4.1

Before initial operation

Install the plug nipple.

Inserting a chisel

Choose a suitable chisel (9).

Turn quick change chuck (10) on the
chipping hammer.

Insert chisel into the quick change
chuck.
Removing a chisel
Pull the clamping ring of the quick
change chuck (10) back and pull the
chisel out.

Compressed air supply

Caution! 
A
To the service life of this tool it
must be supplied with a sufficient
amount of pneumatic oil. This can be
achieved:
 By means of a service unit at the
compressor.
 By means of a line oiler, fitted in
the air line or directly to the air
tool.
 By giving 3 - 5 drops of pneu-
matic oil manually per 15 minutes
of operation (continuous duty)
into the air inlet.

Set the working pressure at the
compressor (refer to the technical
specifications for max. permissible
working pressure).

Connect air hose (quick coupler) to
the compressor.

Chiselling

A
Hazard generated by insuffi-
cient personal protection gear!
Wear personal protection gear:
 ear protection,
 protective spectacle,
 protective gloves,
 dust respirator (when work
generates dust).
When chiselling, wear also safety
boots and hard hat.

Set the chisel.
2.
To start: pull the trigger.
To stop: release the trigger.

5. Care and maintenance

A
Danger!
Always disconnect from air supply
before servicing. 
Repair and maintenance work other
than described in this section must
be carried out by qualified specialists
only.
Check all screwed connections for
tightness, tighten if necessary.
When the tool is not lubricated by a
service unit or line oiler, manually
add 3 - 5 drops of pneumatic oil for
every 15 minutes of operation (con-
tinuous operation) into the air inlet.
Do not store tool unprotected out-
doors or in humid environment.

7. Repairs

Repairs to air tools must be carried out
by qualified specialist ONLY!
Air tools in need of repair can be send to
the service centre in your country. See
Spare Parts List for address.
Please attach a description of the fault to
the power tool.

The tool's packaging can be 100 % recy-
cled.
Worn out machines and accessories
contain considerable amounts of valua-
ble raw and plastic materials, which can
be recycled.
These instructions are printed on paper
produced with elemental chlorine free
bleaching process.
