    The remote can also be used to activate and control all features of the second zone. The TGR-401-230 is the export model, set for 220-240 VAC operation. Its operation is identical to the TGR- 401 described in this manual.

    Manual Setup There are three main manual ad- justments that can be made using the SPEAKERS OSD menu: 1. The SPEAKER SIZE menu al- lows you to enter the crossover frequency of each speaker. Using bass management, any bass below the crossover frequency will be redirected to your subwoofer.

    CHAPTER 1 Front Panel Features 1. Power This button turns the TGR-401 on (fully powered up) or into Standby mode (asleep, but can be turned on remotely). The blue LED above the power switch is on when the TGR-401 main zone is turned on. When the TGR-401 is turned off, the LED will turn red.

  • Page 25: Chapter 3: Remote Control

    Remote Control The TGR-401 remote control is many remotes in one. There are ten device buttons, ¿ ve on either side of the display, and each allows the remote to operate one piece of equip- ment. From the factory, the device buttons on page 1 are labeled: HD/BD, SAT, DVR, MP3, DVD, CABLE, VCR, CD, ZONE2, and TG401.
  • Page 26 CHAPTER 3 Operating the TGR-401 with the Remote 1. Press the remote's MAIN button to make sure the display is on the main display menu. 2. Press the TG401 device button to set the remote to operate your TGR- 401. The display chang es to show the TGR-401 input se lec tions.
  • Page 27 Remote Setup You must enter the SETUP mode to program the remote control for the other components in your system, and to customize it for your conve- nience. There is only one way to enter the SETUP mode: Hold down both the MAIN and ENT buttons for a few seconds until SETUP appears in the display.
  • Page 28 CHAPTER 3 Remote Setup continued PUNCH This mode allows you to set up the volume, channel up/down and trans- port buttons so they will work for your main de vic es, no matter which device the remote is set for. For ex am ple, the volume buttons can operate the TV, even if the remote is set to VCR.

    On Screen Display (OSD) Video Connections The On Screen Display (OSD) is available at the composite video, S-video, or component video MON outputs. Make sure that your TV monitor's video input is connected correctly to one of these outputs. Note that the HDMI output does not support OSD functions.
