Attach the 2-1/8" Hole Saw (2) to the Mandrel (4) and affix to the Pilot Drill (5) making sure Mandrel
lock nut (6) is snug. note: The base of the Pilot Drill (5) has a round and flat edge. Make sure the
flat edge is facing the lock screw on the Mandrel (4) and make sure the Pilot Drill (5) extends 1/4"
beyond the teeth of the Hole Saw. note: always read and adhere to all instructions and safety
warnings made by the manufacturer of the power drill being used. Insert the drill bit assembly
into a power drill (not included) and line the Hole Saw up with the large hole on the Easy Guide
Template (1) and begin drilling. note: To eliminate splintering, stop drilling when the Pilot Drill (5)
breaks through the back of the door. At this point, remove the Hole Drill and complete the hole from
the other side of the door. Once again line up the Hole Saw up with the large hole on the Easy Guide
Template (1), use the hole made by the Pilot Drill (5), and complete the drilling. See figure 3.

Remove the 2-1/8" Hole Saw (2) from the power drill (not included) and replace it with the 1" Hole
Saw (3). Tighten the Mandrel lock nut (6) and insert the Pilot Drill (5) into the power drill (not included).
Again make sure the Pilot Drill (5) extends 1/4" past the teeth of the Hole Saw. Line up the Hole Saw
with the small hole in the edge of the Easy Guide Template (1) and drill through to the large face
hole drilled in the door. See figure 4.

Remove the latch plate screws and the Easy Guide Template (1) from the door. Refer to the instal-
lation instructions included with your lockset, to complete installation. See figure 5.
