POWERING ON YOUR TVS
LED
Press and hold the power button on the side until the
LED flashes quickly to indicate it is powered on.
Repeat this procedure to turn the TVS off. The LED
will turn on solid (not flash quickly) to indicate the
TVS is powered off.

SETTING UP YOUR TVS
After you have installed your Tailwind iQ3 garage door controller and configured it to
work with the Tailwind mobile app:
1. Open the Tailwind app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on the iQ3 unit you want to control with this TVS. If you have only one Tailwind
Q3 unit then there will only be one listed there.
3. Tap on the black menu at the bottom right and select vehicle list.
4. Tap the add vehicle icon in the top right corner.
5. Make sure your TVS is powered on. Tap to select the vehicle's sensor.
6. The app will scan for nearby Tailwind vehicle sensors. Be sure to have your TVS pow-
ered on (see above) and within 2 meters (about 7 feet) of your smartphone.
7. Select your sensor from the list. In most cases, it will be the only sensor listed (un-
less you have another TVS turned on nearby).
8. Give your sensor a name such as "truck" or any other name you wish.
9. Select the door you wish to associate with this vehicle sensor.
10. Enter a distance between 150 feet and 750 feet. This will be the distance you set for
when Tailwind iQ3 should begin opening and closing the door for you. The auto-open
and auto-close features can be enabled / disabled independently. Sometimes you will
need to play with this value until its works best for your driving speed. Always use cau-
tion and look forward when entering your garage.
11. Tap add vehicle.
*** Your TVS is now configured and ready to use.
