Connect cable box to DVD+VCR from the output jack on the cable box/satellite receiver to the IN (FROM ANT.) jack on the back panel of the DVD+VCR.

    Alternative Cable Box Connection This connection method allows you to record from basic cable and watch scram- bled channels simultaneously. However, you will not be able to record scrambled channels. Connect incoming cable to DVD+VCR from your cable (CATV) or satellite wall outlet to the IN (FROM ANT.) jack on the back panel of the DVD+VCR.

    :: DVD Setup TV Aspect Ratio TV Aspect Ratio refers to the shape of your television, expressed as the length divided by the width of the screen. Standard television screens are 4:3, while widescreen televisions are 16:9. It is important to set the TV Aspect Ratio so DVD movies display at the appropriate size for your television.

    Chapter 4 :: Basic Disc Playback To Play a DVD, CD or VCD Press EJECT on the remote control or front panel to open the disc drawer. The DVD+VCR will power on automatically when you open the disc drawer. Place the disc in the drawer with the label side facing up. If the disc has two sides, place the disc with the desired side facing up. Press EJECT again to close the disc drawer.
