used in a whole fall arrest system. The connector must be self-locking
and alloy made. As fall arrest device, the user must be connected directly
to his A point on the harness, or linked by a lanyard TAZ LOV.LINK to the
same A point with connectors idem.
As descender using any connector harnesses EN 362 is the liaison office
and added or not with a lanyard EN 354 max length 40 cm, meaning it
is still handling.
Check during use than connecters work in the good way of tension.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

When the user hangs on the device, the device turns and the friction of
the rope on the mobile sheave makes it turn also. This creates a pinch
between the two sheaves.
(P.
2). Unfolding the handle and pulling down
on it, this firstly releases the pinch, what makes you slide and descend,
with the control of your second bottom hand. Secondly, in case of taught
(stretched) rope, pulling down the handle, the stops stop the mobile
sheave and all the device turns, what makes you slide and descend, with
the control of your second bottom hand.
WARNING
Pulling down the handle without any kind of control is dangerous
because makes you slide without stopping. Train to avoid this pulling
is mandatory.
SETTING UP ON ROPE
Normal using
(P.
24). Fixe plate is placed with the connection point to
the top (handle to the bottom). Open the mobile plate and install the
rope within the vertical space between the two sheaves. Close the mobile
plate with the enclosed into LOV2.
Check that the tool is static hanging alone on the rope.
Finish the connection. And check the locking.
