Other than your tent you may need a hammer or mallet or rock, and stakes that are appropriate for the ground you are setting up camp on. Open the bag and you will find the following items: The Outer Tent (pictured on the left) The pole bag The stake bag The Top Cover The Inner Tent...
  • Page 2 2. Poles from Top to Bottom: Vestibule Pole (Red) Top Cover Pole (Silver) Side Pole (Red) Side Pole (Red) Main Pole (Silver) Main Pole (Silver) Go ahead and extend all of the poles. Make sure that there are no gaps and that each pole segment is fully pressed into the neighboring segment. Do not allow the poles to snap together. 3. Locate the top cover (pictured at left). Insert the top cover pole into the pole sleeve on the top cover. Insert the pole ends into the grommets. The pole may need to be flexed like a bow to fit into the grommets. There are 4 buckles on the top cover that will be attached to the outer tent.
  • Page 3 4. Lay out the outer tent as shown in #1. Locate the red webbing that is sewn to the pole sleeves. (Shown on the left). Attach the top cover at each of the 4 corner points. Make sure that the pole in the top cover points from side to side, not front to back. 5. The front and the back of the top cover have attachment Velcro patches for the kickstand poles on the Main Tent to attach. Go ahead and attach those now. (You can also set these up after the tent is set up if you’re tall or have something to stand on like a cooler) 6. Insert the two Main Poles (silver) into the two pole sleeves (grey) on the outer tent. Remember to always push the pole forward, never pull on the pole – this might cause the joints in the pole to become loose. If you’re having a hard time getting the pole through remember to push the pole forward while pulling the fabric pole sleeve towards you.
  • Page 4 7. Insert the end of each pole into a grommet on the black webbing (follow the seam from the end of the pole sleeve). Now it is time to push the pole into the pole sleeve to raise the tent. This can be done solo but is easiest with a friend. 8. Once both of the Main Poles are fully in the tent should look like this. There is a black strap that runs from the front right to the front left under the outer tent. Make sure that this strap is connected – otherwise the tent will be too wide (the front strap is visible and connected in the photo below). There is a second identical strap that needs to be connected from the back right to the back left.
  • Page 5 9. Locate the two Side Poles (red). Thread these under the pole sleeves as shown in the picture on the left (top cover removed for clarity). 10. Then place the ends of each pole in the grommet on the red webbing so they cross as shown. Go to the other side of the tent and place the pole ends in the grommets on the opposite side. 11. Next you will want to clip the pole clips to the poles above the front and back doors. This is much easier to do now rather than later.
  • Page 6 12. Attach the Vestibule Pole (Red) and clip it in. Walk around the tent and clip in all of the remaining clips. Once all the clips are attached the tent should look like the photo on the left. 13. Double check that the clips above the front and back doors are attached and that the small poles in the silver sleeves are holding up the top cover. (The photo at left shows the small poles in the correct position, but the red pole isn’t clipped in yet). 14. Stake out the front and back vestibules. The tent should now look like the image on the left.
  • Page 7 15. Locate the inner tent. It is shown on the left. The bottom left corner shows the AC or swamp cooler ports. We recommend installing the inner tent with these facing the back (the end of the tent opposite the logo and the vestibule pole). 16. Drag the inner tent into the outer tent and orient the front and back doors. 17. Locate the red webbing on one side of the inner tent and clip it to the red webbing buckles from the outer tent.
  • Page 8 18. Follow the seams up and connect the rings to the keeper hooks. Take your time and follow the seam lines. 19. Keep working on one side before you start the next.
  • Page 9 20. Once all of the keeper hooks and the rings have been attached the tent should look like the photo on the left. 21. Now it is time to attach the guy lines. There are 10 long guy lines and 8 short guy lines. Attach the short guy lines to the lower guy out points and the longer guy lines to the higher guy out points. And sturdy know will do, but we recommend using a bowline (pictured on the left). 22. Once the guy lines are firmly attached you will need four stakes per side to secure the guy lines. Properly guying out your tent is required for the tent to withstand the wind. Also insert stakes in the stake loops at the bottom of each pole.
  • Page 10 The No Bake Tent set up correctly. Tent take down: • If it’s windy leave the guy lines and stakes in place until after the poles are removed. • Leaving the door zippers open about 1 foot makes getting the air out of the tent much easier. • Always remember to remove the top cover pole. • When rolling the tent place the poles in the middle so they are not damaged in transport. • You can leave the top cover and the inner tent attached. There is no need to remove them and that makes future setup go much faster. • Also leave the guy lines attached to the tent. Tent Tips • Try not to put the tent away wet – it can mildew and grow mold. If you do need to put the tent away wet – make sure to set it up and let it dry as soon as possible. • Remember to always use the guy lines and stake out the tent. If high winds arrive when you don’t expect them your tent may become airborne and cause damage to itself, other people and maybe even you. • Never use open flames in or around the tent. The tent could be lit on fire causing serious injuries or death.
  • Page 11 • Never use combustible appliances inside the tent – stoves, heaters, or other devices could cause a lack of breathable air which could kill you. Inside your tent • The pockets above the doors aren’t backwards – they are there to hold the doors out of the way. • There are two filter pockets that hold 4 in x 12in furnace register filters. These are handy for camping in dusty or sandy conditions. Filters can be bought at most hardware stores or online. • Condensation can build up if all of the mesh is zipped closed. To prevent condensation simply open some of the mesh panels on the ceiling or on the front and back doors. • There are zippers located in each filter pocket. You can use these to reach through the tent to raise or lower the small poles the hold the front and the back of the top cover up. If there is wind driving rain over 30-40 MPH you may want to lower the ends of the top cover to keep rain out of the inner tent. You can also use these zippers as a cable pass-through for solar panels. • The ceiling of the inner tent has 9 small loops for attaching lanterns, string lights or whatever else your heart desires. • Lastly – don’t forget the 4 drink pockets so you don’t spill your favorite beverage!
