    WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS: This warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials in your RYOBI tool for a period of two years from the date of purchase. With the exception of batteries, power tool accessories are warranted for ninety (90) days.

The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting.

    UNPACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled.  Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included.  Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
  • Page 10 CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red LED on charger will come on. NOTE: If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your nearest Authorized Service Center for electrical check.
  • Page 11 CAUTION: When placing battery pack in the tool, be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with the slot in the buffer/pol- isher and latches into place properly. Improper installa- tion of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
  • Page 12 APPLICATION OF PASTE POLISH See Figure 6. Use a putty knife or other flat, blunt object to apply approxi- mately one rounded teaspoon of paste onto the bonnet. Evenly spread the paste over the entire surface of the bonnet. Do not apply paste directly to the surface being polished. WARNING: Keep a firm grip on the tool with both hands at all times.
  • Page 13 CHANGE TO BUFFING/POLISHING BONNET See Figure 9. Remove the battery pack from the buffer/polisher and re- move the application bonnet by loosening the drawstring and slipping the bonnet off the pad. Replace with buffing/ polishing bonnet, attaching it the same way as the applica- tion bonnet.
