BBV RX45X or 55X Quick Start Set-up Guide
The Unit is shipped as a BBV Coax receiver. Using the procedure below the
following receiver types can be obtained.
RX 459 / RX559 BBV coax receiver
RX 457 / RX557 BBV Rs485 protocol receiver
RX 454 / RX554 Dennard Rs485 protocol receiver
RX 453 / RX553 Phillips Biphase receiver only with factory fitted option board
RX 452 / RX552 VCL Rs485 protocol receiver
RX 451 / RX551 Pelco P protocol receiver
RX 451 / RX551 Pelco D protocol receiver
To change it to any other protocol please plug a monitor on the To Matrix
BNC and a video source to the Camera BNC and press the MENU/SET key.
The on screen display produces a menu.
Select Communications by pressing the MENU/SET key.
Then using the UP and DOWN and MENU/SET keys, select Menu Unlock
and unlock the Comms menu. Using the UP key move up to Telemetry
Type and Select.
Using the UP and DOWN Keys select the appropriate receiver type.
Press the SET key to fix the type, then select Fix the changes and exit
to fix the receiver type.
The Units address can be set in a similar way by selecting Unit Address in
the communications menu.
New features added
The unit as a coax receiver allows full testing of the head wiring and correct functionality using a
simple TX400.
The unit allows automatic switching between ac and dc variants of the unit.
The unit supports camera addresses up to 30000 on the Philips RX453/ 553 unit.
The unit supports both the Pelco P and D protocols on the Pelco RX451/551 unit.
The unit supports Sine Cosine continual rotation heads, with shortest path preset hunting.
Support for privacy zone board programming.
Direct updating of the boards features using a TXLD via the camera port.
