Identifying the chipset

On the taskbar, click the search box, and then type Device Manager.

Click Device Manager.
The Device Manager window is displayed.

Expand System devices.

Memory

Alienware Alpha R2 has one SODIMM (RAM) slot, which is accessible by removing
the base cover and top cover. Your computer supports 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB DDR4
memory of up to 2133 MHz.

Checking the system memory in BIOS setup program

Turn on or restart your computer.

Press F2 when the Dell logo is displayed on the screen to enter the BIOS setup
program.
On the Main tab, the memory information is displayed. For more information, refer

Testing memory using ePSA

Turn on or restart your computer.

Press F12 after the Dell logo is displayed on the screen to access the boot menu.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the Diagnostics menu option and press Enter.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the ePSA Pre-boot System
Assessment (PSA).
NOTE: If the operating system logo appears, wait until you see the desktop.
Turn off your computer and try again.
