you wish to hear with a T V program . In a ddition to m ono or ste re o sound, a n M T S broa dca st m a y

S elect the m ode
(T he O N AIR arrow tells you if a broa dca st is in S tere o a nd/or conta ins a n S AP ).
• Keep the T V in S T E R E O m ode to ge t the be st sound qua lity. T he sound will work in S T E R E O
m ode even if a certain broadcast is in M O N O sound only.
• C hoose the M O N O setting to reduce e xce ssive noise on a ce rta in cha nne l or broadca st.
• S electing S AP will allow you to hear an a lte rna tive soundtra ck, if one is a va ila ble .

TV Speaker

If your TV is connected to a stereo system, you can turn off the TV speakers and listen to the audio
through your stereo.

• Before you turn the TV Speaker setting from O FF to O N , make sure that the TV volume level is low!
If the TV volume is set too high, the sound level will be extremely loud.
• After a power interruption, the TV Speaker settings will return to "O N ".
NOTE:
• External Speakers: W hen using e xte rna l spea ke rs or a m plifie rs, shut off the T V S pe a ke rs
(see 'T V S peaker') above.
