    Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the advanced and compact MG230d mobile phone, designed to operate with the latest digital mobile communication technology. This user’s guide contains important information on the use and operation of this phone. Please read all the information carefully for optimal performance and to prevent any damage to or misuse of the phone.

    While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various LG phone models, they are all designed to meet the relevant guidelines for exposure to radio waves.

    Getting started Installing the SIM card and battery 1. Installing the SIM card. Your SIM card contains your phone number, service details and contacts and must be inserted into your handset. If your SIM card is removed then your handset becomes unusable (except for emergency calls) until a valid one is inserted.

    Browser Browser Menu 1.1 You can access various WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) services such as banking, news, weather reports and flight information. These services are specially designed for mobile phones and they are maintained by WAP service providers. Home (Menu 1.1.1) The homepage is defined in the activated profile.

    Reply via same service center: When a message is sent, it allows the recipients to reply and charge the cost of the reply to your telephone bill. SMS Center: Saves or changes the number of your SMS centre when sending text messages. You must obtain this number from your service provider.
