    Selecting Voices The AT-5 is able to produce the sounds of various instruments. These sounds are called “Voices” (or tones). It is very easy to select voices. ■ Switching the Keyboard Settings With the AT-5, you can have the Upper voice played over the entire keyboard, or split the keyboard into an Upper part and a Lower part and have a different voice played in each.

    Sustain Effect Sustain allows you to add a decay to each voice after the keys are released. The Sustain effect can be added simultaneously to the Upper and Lower parts.     Using the Play Functions Transposing to a Different Key (Transpose Buttons) You can transpose the key of a performance without having to shift the position of your fingers on the keyboard. This feature is called “Key Transpose.” For example: you may play in the familiar C major scale while your music will sound in any key of your choice.
