IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: Ÿ Read all instructions before using. Ÿ Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knob. Ÿ To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid. - Page 3 Ÿ Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids. Ÿ The appliance is only to be operated in the closed position. Ÿ WARNING: To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning. Ÿ If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Page 4 POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
- Page 5 CAUTION: Always preheat before use. Lightly glaze both heating plates with a small amount of vegetable oil or a non-stick spray, and close the casing for the sandwich maker to heat up. Prepare sandwiches by buttering bread on outer surfaces and placing desired ingredients within.
