A/C Powered Wire Free
Door Chime
The Wireless Door Chime consists of two separate units:
1. Push Button unit (Transmitter)
2. Door Chime unit (Receiver)
These units are completely self-contained
and no wiring between them is necessary.
No wiring is required for this Wire Free Door
Chime Kit. When the Push Button is pressed,
it sends a wireless signal to the door chime
that activates the chime.
As the operating range is up to 50 metres
(160 ft approx.), you can mount or take the
door chime virtually anywhere in the home. However, the
transmission range of the wirefree signal will be reduced
if the signal is transmitted through a number of walls or ceilings.
Metal and UPVC doorframes will also reduce the operating range.
Battery Installation
Push button unit
1. Push Button unit is operated by 2 x 3 volt CR2032 Lithium batteries (included)
2. The batteries have been installed in the Push Button and it is ready to use.
Replacing the batteries: Remove the locking screw from the battery fastener of the battery
compartment. Insert 2 x 3 volt Lithium batteries (we recommend Byron model SX100 - not
included), ensuring the battery's polarity matches the internal markings. Tighten the screw on
the battery fastener to hold the batteries firm in their compartment. Test to see if L.E.D.
light comes on.
Bell Push Unit - Installation Guide
MODEL No.TX-2
1. Using the two holes of the back of push button as a template, mark the fixing position for
the unit.
2. Drill hole and fit wall plug and secure the Bell Push Unit with screws (self-tapping N3 x
16mm screw) in position, or by the double-sided self-adhesive pad (included), onto you
front door or the position nearby.
Important: Mounting the Push Button unit on the UPVC doorframes or metal surface will
Door Chime Unit
1. Door Chime unit is powered by A/C mains power (230volt ~ 50Hz).
2. Simply pulg the Door Chime Unit into any convenient wall socket, then it is ready to use.
3. Test to ensure the Door Chime unit is located within the operation range before final
installation.
4. Door Chime unit is designed to provide convenience with plug socket on the front face, you
can plug any electric appliance on it, with loading 13 amp (max.).
Tone Selection
The tone selector is located inside the push
button unit, a small jumper switch on the top
right corner of battery compartment marked
with "T". When a jumper switch is removed,
the tone will change from "Ding-Dong"
tone to "Westminster". The push button is
pre-set to "Ding-Dong" therefore, if no
change is required, it should not be
adjusted.
Optional: You can purchase a further Push
Button for installation at the back door, and
adjust the tone selector, so that push button
at the front door will have a "Westminster"
tone, and Push Button at the back door, will
have "Ding-Dong" tone for identification. (Byron model TX31)
Digital Code Set Up
The units come from the factory on a pre-set radio frequency digital code. However, should
your door chime activate intermittently for no reason at all, it is possible that a similar unit is
operating nearby on the same frequency digital code. The encoded frequency of the Push
Button (transmitter) and Door Chime (receiver) can be changed to avoid this problem.

Chime Unit: Firstly, unplug the unit from wall socket. Unlock the locking screw and slides

open the digital code setting compartment on the back of the Chime Unit.
2. There is 6 positions dip switch marked 1,2,3,4,5 & 6, use an insulated tool to alter the dip
switch levers to the "On/Off" position, which can be altered to achieve total sixty-four (64)
possible digital codes.
3. It is essential that the switch poitions are the same on both Bell Push and Door Chime units.
4. Test to ensure correct operation before final installation.
Warning - Always unplug the Door Chime unit from wall socket before setting the digital code.
