Setting the Scene Mode

By simply selecting one of the following 29
modes, you can capture the image with the
most appropriate settings.
1. From the Record Menu, press to select
Scene Mode.
2. Use the navigation controls to move
through the selection.
3. Press the OK button to save and activate
the selected scene mode.
The table below shows the available scene mode settings.

The camera detects the shooting conditions and
automatically switches to the appropriate scene
mode. See "Using Intelligent Scene" on page 37 for
more details.
The camera automatically adjusts suitable shooting
settings like shutter speed and aperture values.
The camera blurs the background to focus on the
subject.
This feature is used to emphasize wide scenic views.
This feature enhances the red hue for recording
sunset images.
This feature makes the sky clearer and bluer in the
images.
This feature is used to capture the image of a
backlight object by changing the metering.
This feature is used to capture still images of moving
kids.
This feature is used to capture images with night
scenery background.
This feature is used to capture close-up shots of tiny
things, such as insects and plants.
This feature slows shutter speed to capture fireworks
explosions.
