POWER SUPPLY
This unit is powered by a rechargeable Ni·Cad battery. It may be nece.sary to recharge the
bane ry the first time you use the CE· 158.
If
thi• unit has not been used for three months or more you will probably need to recharge the
battery
This unit can also be operated on AC power through use of an AC adaptor EA·21A.
{Please note that the CE· 158 can be used after about 5 minutes by connecting the AC adaptor
EA·21A. w hen the voltage of the buil"t·i n rechargeable battery is low.)
Rech arging :
When the CE·158 is connected with the Computer, or the CE·158 is connected with the Corn·
puter and the (: E· 150, the following message indicates that the battery should be recharged.
1. When the compu ter is turned on with the CE· 158 power ON :
: CHECK 8
or
NEWll? : CHECK 8
2. During operation
ERROR 50
Note : CH ECK 8 message means that the battery of CE· 158
should
be
recharged . If this appears, connect the AC
adapto r to the CE· 158 for recharging.
If the CHECK 8 is displayed wi th the Computer powe.r
ON even after recharging, the CE· 158 m ay
be
malfunc·
tioning . Please contact an authorized SHARP servic. - e
center.
3. When the terminal program is executed with the CE· 158 power O N:
LOW BATTERY
To recharge the battery, turn th e Computer (and the Printer, CE-150) and CE -158 power
O F F, connect the AC adaptor (EA·21A) to the In terface, and plug the AC adaptor into a
wall outlet. (See the d iagram.)
It will take abou! 15 hours before the battery is fully charged.

• This unit can be recharged even when the CE· 158 is disco nnected wi th the Computer'.
