• KEY FUNCTIONS (KEYBOARD CLOSED)

1 Power key ( )—switches the phone on
and off. When the keypad is locked, it
turns the phone display lights on for
about 15 seconds.
2 Left selection key—Keyboard open
( )—becomes Left selection key when
the keyboard is open. This key has no
function when the keyboard is closed.
3 Left selection key ( ) and right
selection key ( )—provides a variety of
functions that are indicated in guiding
text on the display above the keys.
4 Four-way joystick (
directions and selects the active menu
option when pressed. For details, see
"About the four-way joystick" on
page 17.
5 Send key (
and answers a call. In the standby mode
it accesses the list of most recently
called numbers.
6 End key (
exits from the current function.
7 Typing keys—enters numbers and
characters.
Note: Some phones may not
display the Internet symbol on the (0) key.
