The latest DS4000 controller firmware and NVSRAM, drive enclosure ESM
firmware, and the fibre channel drive CRUs firmware must be installed to ensure
optimal functionality, manageability, and reliability.

To enable support for the EXP420, you must ensure that your system's software
and firmware are at the levels shown in Table 5:

To manage the DS4200 Express with controller firmware 06.16.86.xx installed, the
DS4000 Storage Manager version 9.16 Release 2 or later software packages are
included on the DS4000 Storage Manager host software for the appropriate OS CD
or on the IBM Support Web site.
