Product Information
The RF interface module is the interface between the RF Smoke Detectors DOW 1171/RF
Manual Call Points SMF121 and the fire panel and as such is a vital component of the RF fire
detection system. It is connected in a loop or stub as an LSNclassic element via radio
frequency.
Installation
NOTICE!
To ensure that a fault-free radio connection is established, please note the following points:

The RF interface module is surface-mounted. The cables may be surface-mounted or
concealed. For this reason, pre-punched openings are provided on the lower part of the
housing (on the sides and the base). The pre-punched openings are easier to punch out if the
PC board is removed first. For details, see Figure 2, Page 4.

In the case of a wall-mounted configuration, fit the RF interface module vertically to ensure
that the writing on the cover can still be read.

A minimum distance of 2 m must be maintained between individual RF interface modules
installed in the same area

Remove the housing cover from the lower part of the housing.
Carefully press off the two snap-fit hooks (2) that can be found on the left or right of the
PC board and then remove the PC board (1).
Punch out the required openings for the surface-mounted (3) or concealed (4) cable feed
and screw the lower part of the housing to a dry, even surface.
Refit the PC board (1) and wire up the connections.
Use hose clips to secure the connection cable to the bars (5) and relieve strain.
