Step 4. Install the ServeRAID adapter on the system board (see "Installing a ServeRAID SAS/SATA
controller" on page 55) or install the ServeRAID adapter on the riser card and install the riser-card
assembly in the server (see "Replacing an adapter" on page 228).
Step 5. Connect one end of the cable to the RAID adapter memory module.
Step 6. Route the cable along the chassis.

Attention: Make sure that the cable is not pinched and does not cover any connectors or obstruct
any components on the system board.
Step 7. Remove any cable covering or obstructing the battery holder before opening the battery holder.
Step 8. Install the battery or flash power module:
a. Release the retention clip in the open position.
b. Align the cable connector with the slot on the holder. Place the battery or flash power module
into the holder and make sure that the holder engages the battery or flash power module
securely.
