Look for and repair fuel leaks before use. Keep in good working condition. S Replace trimmer head that is chipped, cracked, broken, or damaged in any other way before using the unit. S Maintain unit according to recommended pro- cedures.

The carburetor has been carefully set at the factory. Adjustments may be necessary if you notice any of the following conditions: S Engine will not idle when the throttle is re- leased. S The trimmer head moves/spins at idle.

Idle Speed Adjustment Allow engine to idle. Adjust speed until engine runs without trimmer head moving or spinning (idle too fast) or stalling (idle speed too slow). S Turn idle speed screw clockwise to in- crease engine speed if engine stalls or dies.
