To set access permissions for a pending device

Find and tap Settings > Device connection > Media server.

Select a device from the Pending devices list.

Select an access permission level.
To change the name of a registered device

Find and tap Settings > Device connection > Media server.

Select a device from the Registered devices list, then select Change name.

Enter a new name for the device, then tap OK.
To change the access level of a registered device

To get help with sharing content with other DLNA Certified™ devices

Find and tap Settings > Device connection > Media server.

Connecting your device to HDMI devices

You can use an HDMI Type D cable to connect your device to a Blu-ray player, DVD
player, or PlayStation to project movies or games from your device.
After connecting to another device with an HDMI Type D cable, press the INPUT
key to switch to the HDMI device.
HDMI Type D cables are sold separately.
Skype calls cannot be received when displaying the screen of an HDMI device.

Connecting your device to USB accessories

You can use a USB Type-C™ host adapter to connect your device to USB
accessories such as USB mass storage devices, game controllers, USB keyboards,
and USB mice. If the USB accessory has a USB Type-C connector, a USB Type-C host
adapter is not necessary.
USB Type-C host adapters are sold separately. Sony does not guarantee that all
USB accessories are supported by your device.
If your device is fully charged, it can be used for up to one hour without being connected to
a power outlet.
To access a USB mass storage device using a USB Type-C™ host adapter

Connect your device to the USB mass storage device using a USB Type-C
host adapter.

To access files and folders on the USB storage device, use a file manager app
such as File Commander.
You can also open the relevant media application on your device to view content directly.
For example, you can open the Album application to view photos stored on USB mass
storage devices.
To disconnect a USB mass storage device

To open the Notification Panel, drag the status bar downward.

Tap the drop-down arrow beside Android System.

Tap EJECT in the drop-down list.

Detach the USB Type-C™ host adapter from your device.
If the notification does not appear, tap Settings > Storage & memory > > Advanced >
Storage >
next to Portable storage.
