Battery Installation To install battery, slide the battery compartment door open as shown in the photo. Install one 1.5 volt button battery with positive polarity toward the battery compartment door, as shown in the photo. NOTE: The positive end is marked with a + sign. - Page 5 Using the Digital Welding Gauge Measuring Undercut Undercuts are grooves which form at one or both sides of a weld joint. They are usually caused by moving the welding rod too quickly, or too high current being used during welding. Undercut is considered a welding defect. It is difficult to measure undercut because of the small size of the defect.
