    Depth Gauge Cutters Drive Links Place chain onto the sprocket 7. Place chain over and behind clutch, fitting the drive links in the clutch drum sprocket. 8. Fit bottom of drive links between the teeth in the sprocket in the nose of the guide bar.

    NOTE: If the engine sounds as if it is try- ing to start before the 5th pull, stop pulling and immediately proceed to the next step. 6. Push the choke knob in completely (to the OFF position); pull the starter rope until the engine starts.

    Allow the chain to cut for you. Exert only light downward pressure. If you force the cut, damage to the bar, chain, or engine can result. Release the throttle trigger as soon as the cut is completed, allowing the en- gine to idle.
