Automatic transmission
fluid
It is not necessary to check the
automatic transmission fluid level.
If you have a problem e.g. leak, have
it remedied by a workshop.
Caution
Use of the incorrect fluid may
damage the vehicle. Always use
the fluid listed in Recommended
Fluids and Lubricants 3 235.
Manual transmission fluid
Caution
Before attempting to do the work,
be sure you are fully acquainted
with doing this job.
We recommend that you consult
your authorised repairer.
1. Turn the engine off and allow the
manual transmission to cool.
2. Remove the filler plug.
Vehicle care
3. If the fluid level is low, add
transmission fluid until the level up
to the bottom of the filler plug hole.
4. After filling to the correct level,
reinstall the plug securely.
Caution
Use of the incorrect fluid may
damage the vehicle. Always use
the fluid listed in Recommended
Fluids and Lubricants 3 235.
Caution
Do not overfill the transmission
fluid.
This can damage the
transmission.

Heat from engine, transmission or
fluid can cause burns.
Make sure the transmission is
cooled down before touching it.
