    Chapter 1. Introduction 1.1. About CWP-905 Thank you for purchasing this high-speed 802.11 b/g/n wireless adapter. The Wireless-N PCI Adapter can be installed in most desktops and provides true flexibility by allowing the computer to be positioned almost anywhere in the building without the cost and hassle of running network cables.

Installing the Software of the PCI Adapter Notes: Please install the software before insert the Wireless-N PCI Adapter Before installing your Wireless-N PCI Adapter, insert the Auto-Install CD into your CD-ROM drive. Unless you have disabled the auto-run feature of Windows, the AutoPlay Menu should appear automatically.

    Chapter 3. Uninstall the PCI Adapter You could uninstall the PCI Adapter driver and utility through uninstall program. 1. Click on your start menu. Next go to “Programs” or “All Programs”. Next go to the folder “Wireless”. Next select “Uninstall”. 2.

    Chapter 4. Configuring Your Wireless Network 4.1 Basic Setup 1. Double click on the computer with wireless signal icon in your taskbar or the shortcut icon on the desktop. 2. The Wireless Utility window should pop up. Please click the “Rescan” button to update available APs.

And then please click the “OK” button to continue. If your wireless network does not have any security settings enabled, please click “OK”...

    4.2 Add to Profile 1. Double click on the computer with wireless signal icon in your taskbar or the shortcut icon on the desktop. 2. It should pop up the Wireless Utility window. First, click on the “Rescan” button to update available APs.
  • Page 14 3. It should show up the Profile window below. If you do not have any wireless security (WEP, WPA, WPA2, and etc.) set on your wireless network, simply click the “OK” button and skip to step5. If you do have wireless securities on your wireless network click on the “Auth. \ Encry.” tab.

Set your wireless securities settings, when completed; click the “OK” button. - If you have WEP, typically you only enter your WEP key in Key#1. - If you have WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, typically you only enter your key in the “Preshared Key”. - If you have 802.1x configure, typically you only configure your setting in 802.1x configure column.

The below window indicates you’re connected. Notes: We recommend Windows 98SE/ME user to restart the system after activated their profile.
