Antenna on or off. By having it off you are enabling the possibility of volt-
age surges through the antenna. By having it on, you are ensuring that
no such voltage surges are able to go through your unit.
· · To exit the Installation Menu, press ESC once.
b) Scan Menu
· · All Channels
This option ensures that all Channels in your area will automatically be
picked up by your DEC2000-t, when it is scanning (providing there is
proper signal strength)
· · Alternatively you can scroll through the options and decide which chan-
nel frequencies you would like to scan for. (This is usually determined by
the transmitter that is nearest you and at what frequency it transmits at)
· · While scanning the Signal Strength and Quality are indicated. The tool
bars will light up giving you an indication of the strength of the scan.
· · The programme box gives you feedback on what exactly was scanned,
and what was found (Radio and TV channels found and the quantity
found).
· · The Scan Terminated box clearly indicates when a scan has been termi-
nated.
