Engine Runs Irregularly, Stops or Loses Power
Probable Cause
Engine Management System RPM
Reduction Mode is activated
Low battery voltage
Water is present in fuel
Poor quality or low octane fuel
Loose ignition connections
Incorrect spark plug gap or heat range
Fouled or defective spark plug
Kinked or plugged fuel vent line
Clogged air filter
Air flow through intake is too warm
Engine management system failure
Engine overheating
Fuel in crankcase
Drive clutch binding
Incorrect clutching

Worn drive belt
Excessive belt/sheave clearance

Recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC.
