Tethering & portable hotspot
You can share your phone's mobile data connection via USB or
as a portable Wi-Fi hotsport.
Turn on/off portable Wi-Fi hotspot
1. On the home screen, press the Menu key, then press
Settings > Wireless & networks.
2. Press Tethering & portable hotspot, Check or uncheck
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to turn it on or off.
Note: As Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled, Wi-Fi function shall
automatically close.
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings
1. On the home screen, press the Menu key, then press
Settings > Wireless & networks.
2. Press Tethering & portable hotspot, Check Portable Wi-Fi
hotspot to turn on hotspot.
3. Press Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings to set the hotspot
name and password.
After the password for hotspot is set, this password needs to
be entered when other Wi-Fi devices connect to the phone
through Wi-Fi.
