Use Maps

Maps allows you to keep track of your
location, find places of interest, view traffic
situations, and view detailed directions to your
destination.
Before you start using Maps, set your location
first.

Enable Location Setting

1. Touch Home > Menu > Settings >
Security & Location.
2. Touch the Use wireless networks, Enable
GPS satellites, or both.

Open Maps

Touch Home, open the applications tab, then
touch Google Maps.
Zoom Maps
1. On the Maps screen, touch the screen to
display the zoom controls.
2. Touch the - button to zoom out on the map
or touch the + button zoom in on the map.
Navigate the Map
To navigate on the map, slide your finger on
the screen towards the direction of the area you
want to view.

Change Map Mode
On the Maps screen, touch Menu > Map
mode, then touch one of the following options:
• Map: This is the default mode. Select this
option to display the map with names of
streets, rivers, parks, and boundaries.
• Satellite: Select this mode to use the same
satellite data as Google Earth. The images
are not real-time and are approximately one
to three years old.
• Traffic: Select this mode to view real-time
traffic conditions with roads marked in
color-coded lines that indicate the traffic
condition. This mode is available in
selected areas only.
• Press and hold the screen to view a
street-level map.

Find Your Current Location

On the Maps screen, touch Menu > My
Location. A blinking blue dot indicates your
current location on the map.
