Tip
In En mode, press the 0 key to enter a space. In Abc mode, press the 0

key once to enter a space, twice to enter 0, and three times to enter a
linefeed.
In Abc mode, repeatedly press the 1 key to enter the commonly used

punctuations. In En mode, press the 1 key once to enter a period and
twice or three times to enter a smiley.

Entering a Symbol

1. In any text entry mode, press the * key to display the symbol list.
2. Use the Navigation keys to scroll to the desired symbol, and then press
the Confirm key to enter the symbol. You can also press the number key
corresponding to the desired symbol to enter the symbol.

10 Enabling the Power-Saving Mode

In standby mode, if the screen backlight is on and if the keypad is

unlocked, press the End key to turn off the screen backlight.
If the screen backlight is off and if the keypad is locked, you can press

the Left soft key or the End key to turn on the screen backlight.
In standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Phone Settings >

Power-saving mode > On to enable the power-saving mode, in which
the keypad backlight is off from 09:00 to 17:00.

11 Alarms

You can set a maximum of five alarms. To set an alarm, on the main menu
screen, select Tools > Alarms to access the Alarms screen.

Enabling an Alarm

1. On the Alarms screen, select an alarm, and then set the alarm time,
repeat days, and alarm tone.
