TESTING COMPONENT
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.

TEST #4: UI/LED Test

Perform the "UI/LED Test" below. If any of the following
situations occur, continue to the next column for
troubleshooting procedures.
n One or more indicators do not light up
n Some buttons do not toggle indicators
n No audio feedback is heard
UI/LED Test
1. Press POWER to turn on the washer.
2. Press and hold LOAD while pressing START three times.
A tone will sound for 1 second to indicate successful
entering of the UI/LED Test. The display will indicate "8.8."
and all indicators will be off.
3. Press "–". The Control Lock and Lid Lock indicators will
be lit. Press "–" again. The Control Lock and Lid Lock

indicators will turn off.
4. Press CYCLE. All of the Cycle indicators will be lit. Press
CYCLE again. The Cycle indicators will turn off.

5. Press "+". The 7-segment display showing "8.8." will turn
off. Press "+" again. The 7-segment display will turn on.
6. Press LOAD. All of the Load indicators will be lit. Press
LOAD again. The Load indicators will turn off.
7. Press TEMP. All of the Temp indicators will be lit. Press
TEMP again. The Temp indicators will turn off.
8. Press POWER to exit the test.
One or more indicators do not light up:
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Replace the UI/Control Board assembly.
3. Reassemble all parts and panels.
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. To verify repair, perform the "UI/LED Test" on this page.
Some buttons do not toggle indicators:
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Replace the UI/Control Board assembly.
3. Reassemble all parts and panels.
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. To verify repair, perform the "UI/LED Test" on this page.
No audio feedback is heard:
1. Perform the "UI/LED Test" on this page.
¾ If audio feedback is heard with each button press,
continue to step 2.
¾ If no audio feedback is heard with each button press,
continue to step 4.
2. Exit "UI/LED Test" by pressing POWER.
3. Turn on the washer and adjust the "End of Cycle Signal" in
normal mode:
¾ The End of Cycle signal may be turned on and off
by pressing and holding the Cycle "+" button for 3
seconds.
4. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
5. Replace the UI/Control Board assembly.
6. Reassemble all parts and panels.
7. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
8. To verify repair, perform the "UI/LED Test" on this page.
