Enable Advanced Mode

Turning on advanced mode activates the squeeze and hold gesture.
In this mode, you'll be able to do the following with Edge Sense:
While you're using the Camera app, squeeze and hold the lower sides of your phone to switch
between the main and front cameras. You can do this only if the squeeze gesture—whether it's
the short squeeze or squeeze and hold—is set to Launch Camera app.
Do two different actions when squeezing, depending on how long you squeeze. By default, short
squeeze opens the Camera app while squeeze and hold launches Google voice assistant. You
can assign these two squeeze gestures to other actions.
1. Tap
>
2. Tap Edge Sense.
3. Select the Enable advanced mode check box.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to set the squeeze force levels.
5. To change the action the phone takes when you squeeze it, tap Customize short squeeze
action, and then choose your preferred option.
6. To change the action the phone takes when you squeeze and hold it, tap Customize squeeze &
hold action, and then choose your preferred option.
7. Tap
to save your setting.

Enter Text with Your Voice Using Edge Sense

Enter text using your voice instead of the onscreen keyboard. To use the Voice-to-Text feature, Google
voice assistant needs to be assigned to a squeeze gesture. If you turned on Advanced mode, by default,
the squeeze and hold gesture is set to Launch Google voice assistant. See
1. Open an app where you want to enter text.
2. With the onscreen keyboard showing, squeeze the lower sides of your phone, and then speak the
words you want typed.
Note: If you paused speaking, you may need to tap the microphone icon on the screen to resume voice
typing.
